TV WEEK: My Little Pony Royal Wedding parody billboard...

You're invited to the event of the year and it's a right royal affair. Those clever folks at The Hub channel have done it again with another fantastic spoof billboard for their My Little Pony cartoon show.

This time Prince William and Kate Middleton's 2011 Royal Wedding gets the parody treatment, unicorns, hats and all.

You can't help but notice this fun and satirical billboard, which was snapped along Caheunga Boulevard at the bottom of Barham Boulevard in The Hub's regular billboard location on April 7, 2012.

MOVIE WEEK: The Pirates! Band of Misfits billboard...

Aside from being eye-catching, Daily Billboard thinks this colourful billboard for The Pirates! Band of Misfits is a lot of fun, in particular the witty 'Laugh your booty off' tagline.

There's nothing like a bit of claymation comedy, especially when it's from Aardman Animations, the creators of Wallace & Gromit, Arthur Christmas and Chicken Run.

These bright special extension billboards were snapped along Melrose Avenue at North Mansfield Avenue and along La Brea Avenue at Romaine Street on March 28, whilst the standard version was captured along Sunset Boulevard on April 5, 2012.

TRIO DAY: Hennessy Wild Rabbit billboards...

From the looks of it this month Sunset Boulevard has been overrun by a Wild Rabbit, or two.

Hennessy seems to have abandoned their lifestyle billboards in favour of a more intriguing and irreverent ad campaign.

The fun billboards encourage drinkers of the cognac brand to never stop, or settle for less, in their quest for success or to reach their potential. What are you searching for? What's your 'Wild Rabbit'?

Or is it more like Alice down the rabbit hole to Wonderland?

These two consecutive billboard sites cleverly reinforce the luxury brand's message and were photographed along Sunset Boulevard at Crescent Heights Boulevard on March 15.

The giant-sized stairwell version was snapped on the side of the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood on March 20, 2012.

Madagascar 3 movie billboard...

Don't you just love this psychedelic riot of colour for Madagascar 3. They may not be the best disguise, but those rainbow Afro wigs are certainly a fun way to draw attention to the third installment in an animated movie franchise.

Apparently Gloria, Melman, Marty, Alex and their penguin friends find themselves Europe's Most Wanted as they hide out in a traveling circus in this animated sequel.

This crazy special extension billboard was snapped along Sunset Boulevard at the top of La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood on March 26, 2012.

DUO DAY: Aldo Shoes inflatable chair and white alligator billboards...

Daily Billboard is loving Aldo Shoes latest vibrant ads, featuring the laid-back stylings of models Mat Gordon and Anais Pouliot.

Colourful, fun and irreverent, they are the kind of billboards that just makes you happy when you look at them (and make you want to buy more shoes, of course).

These bright fashion billboards were snapped along Sunset Boulevard in Aldo Shoes regular location, with the 'inflatable chair' ad being photographed on February 8 and the 'white alligator' creative captured on March 1, 2012.

This Aldo shark head billboard is especially entertaining and in keeping with the creature theme.

MOVIE WEEK: Big Miracle billboards...

Big Miracle looks like it's a heartwarming tale, even when it's set in freezing Alaska.

Let's face it, what's not to love about saving some endangered grey whales trapped in the Arctic ice, especially when it's inspired by a true story from the 80's.

These billboards for the movie were snapped at Universal Studios Hollywood on November 30, 2011.

MOVIE WEEK: Giant John Carter billboards...

Mary Poppins. Jerry Maguire. Forrest Gump. Johnny English. Donnie Brasco. Just some of the films that have people's names in their titles. Unfortunately they don't always mean much unless they have some historical context or literary significance.

Daily Billboard's biggest gripe with Disney's new sci-fi action movie is that John Carter has chosen not to use its 'of Mars' full title.

The movie seems happy to use the red planet in its marketing material, so why not help immediately communicate to the mainstream what the movie is all about, especially if they have no prior knowledge of the character originated by Tarzan creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs.

This super-sized billboard, featuring Taylor Kitsch as the titular hero who is an American Civil War veteran miraculously transported from Earth to war torn Mars, was snapped along Sunset Plaza on January 25, 2012.

UPDATED: Here's another giant billboard for the Disney movie, this time with an even more alien or is that Martian feel, snapped along Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood on February 14, 2012.

UPDATED: As it gets closer to John Carter's release date more billboards for the sci-fi movie are popping up around L.A.

These two billboards featuring a duo of giant alien white apes chasing our titular hero were snapped along 3rd Street and Fairfax Avenue at Santa Monica Boulevard on February 16, 2012.

The special extension billboard looks especially impactful against that blue Californian sky.

UPDATED: This other Martian creative, which highlights the special costume, prop and set exhibit for the movie at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, was snapped at Franklin and Highland Avenues on March 7, 2012.

Olivia Munn and Kim Kardashian PETA anti-fur billboards...

Actress and TV presenter Olivia Munn battles it out naked against fur-wearing reality star Kim Kardashian in the skies above Beverly Boulevard in L.A. this month.

Olivia Munn follows in the footsteps of Taraji P. Henson who also stripped naked for a billboard campaign for the animal rights organisation last year to show her support against fur farming.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are never afraid to pull their punches and here's another billboard opposing animal testing from May 13, 2011, photographed along Westwood Boulevard.

Audrina Patridge PETA adoption angel billboard

The Hills reality star Audrina Patridge is another celebrity who has supported PETA in the past, with this pet adoption angel billboard snapped on May 22, 2009.

These new eye-catching and thought-provoking anti-fur billboards were snapped along Beverly Boulevard, the Kim Kardashian version on December 22, 2011 and the Olivia Munn creative on the opposite side of the street on January 12, 2012.

UPDATED: It's not just the female celebrities who help PETA out with their campaigns, this billboard shows Twilight's Kellan Lutz and teen pop sensation Justin Bieber advocating for pet adoption from animal shelters.

This bendy-shaped billboard was snapped along Hollywood Boulevard on March 7, 2012.

TV WEEK: House of Lies billboards...

Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell are swimming with the sharks and it's the survival of the fittest, or is that slickest, for their new Showtime comedy drama House of Lies.

The team of hotshot management consultants at Galweather & Stearn look pretty cool in this shark tank billboard creative and the floating ties are a nice comedic touch, which hint at the levity in the new series.

The standard size ad was snapped along Sunset Boulevard on December 6, whilst the giant-sized version was photographed looming over Highland Avenue on December 17, 2011.
