Daily Billboard is always excited to see new movie billboards take to the skies of L.A., especially when they are as stunning and near perfection as these creatives for Snow White & the Huntsman.
Charlize Theron simply demands to be seen as the 'Evil Queen' in these special extension billboards and commands your attention when paired with her co-stars, Thor's Chris Hemsworth as 'The Huntsman' and Twilight's Kristen Stewart as 'Snow White' herself.
The fairytale Queen oozes evil and you can't quite tell where that murder of crows ends and her elaborate feathered costume begins, it's just a breathtaking visual.
Meanwhile Chris Hemsworth looks like he's having a smashing time as 'The Huntsman' in this dramatic creative.
Let's hope this take on the Snow White tale isn't as unsuccessful as Julia Robert's recent Mirror Mirror flop.
If you're not convinced of the movie's potential by these billboard creatives, Snow White & the Huntsman does come with some quality fantasy credentials in the form of the Producer of Alice in Wonderland.
The sinister special extension Evil Queen billboards was photographed along Sunset Boulevard and along 3rd Street on May 5, whilst the standard cast billboard was snapped the same day along Beverly Boulevard.
The smaller Huntsman version was captured along Sunset Boulevard on May 8, 2012.

How fantastically striking is this giant teaser billboard for Disney/Pixar's latest computer-animated feature, Brave.

With her fiery Scottish red locks, 'Merida', the latest Disney Princess literally demands to be seen against that stunning blue California sky.
With her bow and arrow she looks like she's more then ready for any action this fantasy-adventure can throw at here.

This super-sized Brave movie billboard was snapped along Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood on April 28, 2012.

UPDATED: Here's another cool creative for Brave snapped along Highland Avenue at Franklin Avenue on May 5, 2012, although it does bear a passing resemblance to Katniss in the recent Hunger Games billboards.

If you'd asked Daily Billboard what was the least likely game or toy to be made into a movie, Battleship would have probably been at the top of that list.

But in what seems like a stroke of genius, with the addition of invading aliens this board game has been brought to life on the big screen in a blockbuster extravaganza in open water.
The ad campaign for the movie is certainly explosive, impactful and a bit of a spectacle.

Aside from successful toy franchises like Transformers and G.I. Joe, the 1985 movie Clue, based on the British murder/mystery board game Cluedo (or Clue in America) is the only other game that comes to mind to have received the Hollywood cinematic treatment (does the roleplaying Dungeons & Dragons count?).

Daily Billboard first spied this silhouetted teaser for the sci-fi action movie at Universal Studios Hollywood lower lot on November 30, 2011 and spotted these other giant creatives along Highland and Franklin Avenues on April 16, whilst the smaller Battleship firing missiles creative was snapped along Cahuenga Boulevard on April 20, 2012.

The billboards certainly promise great spectacle and excitement and let's hope John Carter's Taylor Kitsch and R&B star Rihanna don't prove to be horribly miscast, or the water-based setting prove to be an expensive repeat of 1995's Waterworld.
Fortunately there are some big names like Liam Neeson and fan favorites like True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard to draw the crowds too.

Only time and the box office will tell, but from the looks of these billboards, this Battleship won't be so easily sunk.

This special extension version, which looks like something out of a Transformers movie, was snapped at the corner of Melrose and Highland Avenues.

The creative with the naval officer facing down an extraterrestrial armada was photographed at Universal Studios Hollywood's lower lot.
Daily Billboard also likes the smaller version of the Battleship logo being obliterated by the alien missile.

UPDATED: Here's a promotional tie-in billboard for the movie and there's nothing particularly subtle about the product placement of this Coke Zero can in this ad.
This creative was snapped along Highland Avenue at Franklin Avenue on May 5, 2012. Enjoyed by humans and aliens indeed.

With Star Trek 2 boldly in production at the moment and lots of teaser images being leaked on the web, Daily Billboard couldn't help but flashback to one of the best movie billboards from 2009, the iconic and arresting ad for J.J. Abrams revamped Star Trek.

Aside from being eye-catching, Daily Billboard thinks this colourful billboard for The Pirates! Band of Misfits is a lot of fun, in particular the witty 'Laugh your booty off' tagline.

There's nothing like a bit of claymation comedy, especially when it's from Aardman Animations, the creators of Wallace & Gromit, Arthur Christmas and Chicken Run.

Don't you just love this billboard for new horror movie the Cabin in the Woods (and also the fact that it's released on Friday 13th).

When you first look at it you think it simply illustrates the title of the movie, but then on second glance you realize that everything is not as it seems and that is one weird, unconventional upside-down and oddly-shaped cabin.

It certainly helps challenge those preconceived ideas about those usual slasher in the woods type horror story, as the tagline suggests - 'You think you know the story'.
The ad also has a certain smudged appearance in the top righthand corner which gives it a weatherworn and authentic outdoorsy feel.

These cool billboards for the movie were snapped along L.A.'s Fairfax Avenue on March 20 and along Santa Monica Boulevard on April 1, 2012.

Fortunately, The Five-Year Engagement also has funny man Jason Segel alongside the talented and beautiful Emily Blunt as selling points to encourage cinema goers to sample this new comedy that charts the highs and lows of an engaged couple's relationship.

The billboard creative featuring the best man and bridesmaid together with the happy couple was snapped along La Brea Avenue on March 28, whilst the blushing bride and groom version was photographed along Beverly Boulevard on April 1, 2012.

UPDATED: Here's another of the billboards for The Five-Year Engagement snapped at Fountain and Highland Avenues on April 16, 2012.

There's a lot to take in in this family portrait of 'Barnabas Collins' and his descendants, and with the acting calibre of Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Lee, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller and even Alice Cooper, you can tell this is going to be a fun reinterpretation of the gothic TV soap opera that ran from 1966 to 1971.

This atmospheric movie billboard was captured along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on April 9, 2012.

UPDATED: It looks like Warner Bros. Studios big budget marketing campaign has really kicked off with more giant billboards for the gothic comedy appearing around the streets and skies of L.A.
These giant ads featuring Depp as Barnabas Collins can be found looking down upon Hollywood & Highland and looming over Sunset & Vine in Hollywood on April 20.
Meanwhile this super-sized version was photographed on the side of the Sofitel Hotel along Beverly Boulevard on April 18, 2012.
It'll be interesting to see whether this fantasy comedy remake will not only please Johnny Depp and Tim Burton fans, but also satisfy the legions of American viewers who remember the original television series.
