DUO DAY: Star Wars character billboards...

Yoda Dodgertown billboard
With Star Wars characters returning to the skies of L.A. for the re-release of The Phantom Menace in 3D, Daily Billboard was also excited to see Darth Vader doing his bit to promote the newly upgraded Star Tours attraction at Disneyland in California, which is also in 3D.

Daily Billboard then remembered another fantastic Star Wars themed billboard from a few years ago featuring Jedi master, Yoda, from the animated Clone Wars series.

Daily Billboard isn't sure whether he was familiar with baseball (although with the way he swings that lightsaber you never know), but he was drafted in as part of the Dodgertown ad campaign for the Los Angeles Dodgers along with a whole slew of other famous faces.

His glittering lightsaber really stood out from a distance and the "My Town This Is" slogan was a witty play on his distinctive speech pattern.

May the Force be with you.

What's Christmas without Santa Claus, and what's Grinchmas without a green-furred, grumpy Grinch?

Wherever you are, have a very Merry Christmas, and if you are enjoying a day at Universal Studios Hollywood today, have a Happy Grinchmas too.

This festive theme park billboard was snapped at Cahuenga and Barham Boulevards on December 10, 2011.

If you're a fan of the movie, be sure to check out these original props, mask and models from How the Grinch Stole Christmas on display.

FESTIVE WEEK: Disneyland holiday lights billboards...

All is bright Disneyland billboard
Nothing says the holidays like some festive lights and you can imagine the ones at Disneyland are pretty spectacular.

Luckily you don't need to imagine too much, as these billboards of an illuminated fairytale castle and the 'It's a Small World' attraction at Disneyland's Magic Kingdom will help get you in the Christmas spirit.

The 'All is bright' creative was snapped along La Cienega Boulevard on November 28, 2011 and the 'Joy to the small world' version captured along Melrose Avenue last year on November 24, 2010.

L.A. Haunted Hayride Halloween 2011 billboard...

Haunted Hayride Halloween billboard
Let's face it, it wouldn't be Halloween without a suitably spooky billboard today, so enjoy this ad for the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride.

Daily Billboard thinks that they may have taken their inspiration from The Dark Knight's Joker for this Halloween billboard creative.

This cool billboard was snapped along Beverly Boulevard on October 4, 2011.

Happy hauntings.

Universal Studios King Kong 3D billboard installation...

Universal's King Kong 3D billboard installation
Oh, happy days. Daily Billboard just loves it when there's a bit of drama in the skies of Hollywoodland.
King Kong 3D billboard mannequins
Especially when that drama is the giant gorilla hand of King Kong, reaching out to pluck an unsuspecting Universal Studios Tour tram without a care if its passengers go flying in all directions.

Daily Billboard captured this fantastic King Kong 3D ride billboard in two locations, along South La Brea Avenue near West 6th Street and along L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip at the top of La Cienega Boulevard on June 14, 2011.

The billboard installation is a real eye-catcher, made even more so by the two mannequins dangling from the tram and casting shadows over the rest of the billboard - now that's 3D.

A standard version of the billboard, without the mannequins but just as impactful, was also snapped along La Cienega Boulevard.
