TRIO DAY: News KPCC 89.3 FM radio billboards...

No Rant No Slant radio billboard
There have been some great copy only billboard creatives of late, but Daily Billboard especially likes this campaign for 89.3 FM KPCC News radio.
Ideas not Ideology radio billboard
The simplicity of the slogans really pop against the vibrant orange of the billboards.

It's often hard to convey an audio medium in a visual way, but Daily Billboard thinks this campaign for the member-supported public radio station for Southern California does the trick nicely.
Balance not Bias radio billboard
The ads really do help communicate the values of the radio programming - impartial and nonjudgmental ideas, factual information and a balanced viewpoint.

Yesterday's news KFIAM 640 radio billboard...

KFI AM Yesterday's news billboard
Here's another of those fun retro looking billboards from KFI AM 640, this one pointing out the deficiencies of print media being able to supply the most up-to-date news in this digital age of tweets, status updates and of course, live radio.

These homages to vintage illustrations are by artist Scott Saavedra, with art direction and copy by his brother Neil. Be sure to check out the Looking for the Truth KFI billboard that was previously featured here at Daily Billboard.

This witty talk radio advertisement was snapped along La Brea Avenue on January 11 and a sunnier January 18, 2011.
