TRIO DAY: Classic UGG Australia Spring 2012 billboards...
Daily Billboard loves the simplicity of these new ads for UGG Australia, but does question the timing of advertising warm and comfy moccasins at the start of Summer. Surely Winter would be a better time.
Regardless of the time off year, the snug shoes and slippers do stand out on those stark white backgrounds against that lovely blue California sky.

DUO DAY: Gucci Flora fragrance billboards...
Here's the original Flora by Gucci billboard snapped along Sunset Boulevard on March 24, 2009, whilst the new perfume billboard was captured in the same location on April 5, 2012.
The 2009 ad was certainly more dramatic, but the stylish new creative is no less eye-catching and without a doubt conveys the floral theme.

Sexy Calvin Klein swimwear 2012 billboard...
Swimsuit season is almost upon us and whilst some people may shudder at the thought of squeezing into a one-piece or bikini, the voyeur in the rest of us doesn't mind ogling the beautiful people who can pull off the look.
Take for example Calvin Klein's latest hot billboard steaming up L.A.'s Sunset Strip, those two perfect specimens are enough to stop traffic.
What's not to like about the perfect pecs and abs on a man, especially when they look like you can bounce a coin off them, right?
This sexy swimsuit billboard, featuring the buff Danny Beauchamp and the gorgeous Lily Donaldson, was photographed along Sunset Boulevard in the designer fashion brand's regular ad location on April 3, 2012.

DUO DAY: Eddie Redmayne Burberry fashion billboards...
Today it's a British invasion with two billboards featuring an iconic British brand together with an English actor.
My Week With Marilyn star, Eddie Redmayne, gets cosy with sexy model Cara Delevingne in these new billboards for Burberry's trench coats and luxury Prorsum runway brand.
These stylish fashion billboards were snapped along L.A.'s Sunset Plaza, the signature Burberry pattern trench coat creative was captured on February 22, whilst the 'Prorsum' version was photographed on March 20, 2012.

TV WEEK: Fashion Star series premiere billboards...
Not content with The Voice trying to steal American Idol's crown, now NBC hopes to launch a rival to Project Runway in the form of its new show, Fashion Star. Apparently you'll be able to watch it today and wear it tomorrow.
Adopting the usual reality competition formula of judges from the appropriate industry, the show hosted by former supermodel Elle Macpherson, boasts fashion designer John Varvatos, socialite Nicole Ritchie and singer/actress Jessica Simpson as mentors of fourteen fashion hopefuls competing to sell their designs to buyers from Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue.
It's interesting that a rivalry already exists between the hosts of Project Runway and Fashion Star, as Elle Macpherson famously once accused Heidi Klum of stealing her nickname 'The Body'.
Daily Billboard loves the German catwalk queen's show (and her biting, yet honest remarks) and these billboards for seasons six and seven of Project Runway were snapped along Wilshire Boulevard on August 18, 2009 and Santa Monica Boulevard on January 7, 2010 respectively, when the series moved from Bravo to Lifetime.

Bravo TV have already tried to recapture the glory days of Project Runway, but sadly hasn't managed to bottle that magic again, not with The Fashion Show (this billboard snapped along Westwood Boulevard on October 30, 2010) or with Launch My Line.
So it will be interesting to see how Fashion Star fares.

Asics L.A. Marathon billboard...
It's Marathon Day here in Los Angeles, when around 25,000 runners take to the streets and run the 26.2 mile 'Stadium to Sea' course, from Dodger Stadium to the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica.
This ad for Asics running shoes and sportswear really does sum up how people feel about running, as once you've completed your first marathon, it becomes addictive and you just can't stop.
This sporty and celebratory billboard was snapped along the marathon route on Sunset Boulevard at the top of La Cienega Boulevard on March 8, 2012.
