T2 Team to End AIDS endurance training billboard...

A few months of training, a lifetime of pride.

Believe everything you read on this billboard about getting fit and building great friendships, and take it from someone who has trained with this fantastic organisation for two consecutive L.A. Marathons (and the Honolulu Marathon later this year) that it's a life-changing experience.

Not only can you achieve something for yourself, like train to complete a marathon or triathlon whatever your fitness level, but you can also raise awareness and much needed funds for AIDS Project Los Angeles and other local AIDS organisations, who do essential work to help improve the lives of people affected by HIV and prevent many others from contracting the disease.

This sporty charity billboard was snapped above the Santa Palm Car Wash along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood on April 27, 2012.

Asics L.A. Marathon billboard...

It's Marathon Day here in Los Angeles, when around 25,000 runners take to the streets and run the 26.2 mile 'Stadium to Sea' course, from Dodger Stadium to the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica.

This ad for Asics running shoes and sportswear really does sum up how people feel about running, as once you've completed your first marathon, it becomes addictive and you just can't stop.

This sporty and celebratory billboard was snapped along the marathon route on Sunset Boulevard at the top of La Cienega Boulevard on March 8, 2012.

DUO DAY: Star Wars character billboards...

With Star Wars characters returning to the skies of L.A. for the re-release of The Phantom Menace in 3D, Daily Billboard was also excited to see Darth Vader doing his bit to promote the newly upgraded Star Tours attraction at Disneyland in California, which is also in 3D.

Daily Billboard then remembered another fantastic Star Wars themed billboard from a few years ago featuring Jedi master, Yoda, from the animated Clone Wars series.

Daily Billboard isn't sure whether he was familiar with baseball (although with the way he swings that lightsaber you never know), but he was drafted in as part of the Dodgertown ad campaign for the Los Angeles Dodgers along with a whole slew of other famous faces.

His glittering lightsaber really stood out from a distance and the "My Town This Is" slogan was a witty play on his distinctive speech pattern.

The Yoda billboard was snapped along Sunset Boulevard at Cahuenga Boulevard on July 10, 2009, whilst the dark side's Darth Vader was photographed along Sunset Boulevard on January 18, 2012.

BONUS DAY: GNC Your Solution Headquarters billboards...

GNC are back to ensure a healthy start to the New Year with a refreshed ad campaign.

These new billboards are more overtly sporty, with gym gear, people stretching, sweating and holding skipping ropes, plus this time they come in colour too.

The billboards still feature fit, young male and female models and all share the 'Live Healthy' slogan, presumably for the diet conscious in the New Year, with the addition of the 'Your Solution Headquarters' tagline.

It's a great campaign as there's not a vitamin or supplement bottle in sight, or an explicit mention of the General Nutrition Center, and yet you still get the health message loud and clear.

The giant double Live Fit Live Healthy billboards were snapped along Sunset Boulevard at the top of La Cienega Boulevard, whilst the other vibrant creatives were photographed at The Beverly Center, along Hollywood Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue at the beginning of January 2012.

Be sure to stay tuned, as Daily Billboard predicts there will be more creative executions in this ad campaign as this year progresses.

A little titillation is certainly one way to get people motivated to be healthier.

Red Bull The Art of Flight movie billboard...

The popular energy drink Red Bull has taken their slogan 'Red Bull gives you wings' to a whole other level, with this excursion into film making to capture the spectacular exploits of pro-snowboarders around the world.

The positioning with these extreme, high-octane sports help to reinforce Red Bull's youthful, fun and awesome credentials.

This super-sized billboard for Red Bull's 'The Art of Flight' movie was snapped along Sunset Boulevard on the side of the trendy Mondrian Hotel on September 2, 2011.

Brad Pitt Moneyball movie billboard...

Brad Pitt's back and looking all sporty for his new baseball themed movie, Moneyball.

The film is based on the true story of Billy Beane and the Oakland Athletics general manager's successful attempt to assemble a major baseball team on a budget using computer-generated analysis and baseball statistics to draft his players.

This bright, eye-catching billboard was snapped along Sunset Boulevard on August 15, 2011.

DUO DAY: Red Bull Surfer and Soapbox Race billboards...

This cool new surfing billboard really stands out along L.A.'s Sunset Strip and certainly lives up to the slogan that 'Red Bull gives you wings'.

The high-energy drinks brand obviously wants to be associated with energetic, fun, outdoor sports and not just as a great party mixer with vodka.

This new photographic style is a real change from their more quirky cartoon style, like this L.A. Red Bull Soapbox Race billboard from September 2009, and the new sporty billboard was snapped along Sunset Boulevard on July 23, 2011.

AussieBum Hydra water polo billboard...

Daily Billboard is loving this fantasy sports billboard from aussieBum, with its physically perfect adonises battling a mythical many-headed Hydra monster in a water polo contest in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.

It's sporty, sexy, it screams Australia and most of all really catches your eye. Great job aussieBum.

FASHION WEEK: Asics Sound Mind Sound Body billboards...

Welcome to another FASHION WEEK here at Daily Billboard and to kick us off we have some great sportswear which is both stylish and extremely practical.

These sporty billboards are in honour of the L.A. Marathon which takes place today (and Daily Billboard will be running in).

I love this campaign for Asics, which shows all the worry, stress, pain and negative thoughts being shed, in the first creative as the runner is encouraged by the crowds of onlookers, and secondly by the sense of accomplishment and freedom you get just from running.

Obviously it helps if you look good when you're doing it.

The first billboard was snapped along Santa Monica Boulevard, ironically above fast food chain McDonalds, on February 22 and the other runner creatives on March 6, 2011 along Sunset Boulevard. All the billboards can be found along the 'Stadium to Sea' L.A. Marathon course this year.

In addition here are two other billboards for Asics, this time photographed near the Big Apple's Times Square on November 14, 2010 following the recent New York Marathon.

Lights Out TV billboard...

There's nothing like a sweaty, bloodied face to catch you eye as you drive by.

Holt McCallany stars as Patrick 'Lights' Leary, the struggling former heavyweight boxer struggling to support his family after retiring from the ring in this gritty new FX drama.
