MOVIE WEEK: Dark Shadows remake billboards...
Fans of Johnny Depp won't find it hard to picture him as a quirky gothic vampire and head of a dysfunctional family when he awakens in the 70's in the big screen remake of Dark Shadows, especially when he's teamed up once again with his favorite and frequent collaborators, Director Tim Burton and the equally eccentric Helena Bonham Carter.
There's a lot to take in in this family portrait of 'Barnabas Collins' and his descendants, and with the acting calibre of Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Lee, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller and even Alice Cooper, you can tell this is going to be a fun reinterpretation of the gothic TV soap opera that ran from 1966 to 1971.

These giant ads featuring Depp as Barnabas Collins can be found looking down upon Hollywood & Highland and looming over Sunset & Vine in Hollywood on April 20.

It'll be interesting to see whether this fantasy comedy remake will not only please Johnny Depp and Tim Burton fans, but also satisfy the legions of American viewers who remember the original television series.
