A few months of training, a lifetime of pride.

Believe everything you read on this billboard about getting fit and building great friendships, and take it from someone who has trained with this fantastic organisation for two consecutive L.A. Marathons (and the Honolulu Marathon later this year) that it's a life-changing experience.

Not only can you achieve something for yourself, like train to complete a marathon or triathlon whatever your fitness level, but you can also raise awareness and much needed funds for AIDS Project Los Angeles and other local AIDS organisations, who do essential work to help improve the lives of people affected by HIV and prevent many others from contracting the disease.

This sporty charity billboard was snapped above the Santa Palm Car Wash along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood on April 27, 2012.

Olivia Munn and Kim Kardashian PETA anti-fur billboards...

Actress and TV presenter Olivia Munn battles it out naked against fur-wearing reality star Kim Kardashian in the skies above Beverly Boulevard in L.A. this month.

Olivia Munn follows in the footsteps of Taraji P. Henson who also stripped naked for a billboard campaign for the animal rights organisation last year to show her support against fur farming.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are never afraid to pull their punches and here's another billboard opposing animal testing from May 13, 2011, photographed along Westwood Boulevard.

Audrina Patridge PETA adoption angel billboard

The Hills reality star Audrina Patridge is another celebrity who has supported PETA in the past, with this pet adoption angel billboard snapped on May 22, 2009.

These new eye-catching and thought-provoking anti-fur billboards were snapped along Beverly Boulevard, the Kim Kardashian version on December 22, 2011 and the Olivia Munn creative on the opposite side of the street on January 12, 2012.

Audrina Patridge PETA pet adoption billboard

UPDATED: It's not just the female celebrities who help PETA out with their campaigns, this billboard shows Twilight's Kellan Lutz and teen pop sensation Justin Bieber advocating for pet adoption from animal shelters.

This bendy-shaped billboard was snapped along Hollywood Boulevard on March 7, 2012.

FESTIVE WEEK: Coca-Cola Arctic Home polar bear billboards...

Those keeping their eyes open for Coca-Cola's jolly Santa billboards this year may be a bit disappointed, but Coke seems to want to do its bit for a worthy cause instead this Christmas and help polar bears in the wild (who are often featured in their holidays advertising).

These festive Arctic Home billboards still do a great job of screaming Coca-Cola, with the familiar red and white colours making the brand instantly recognizable.

The 'Hope into home' creative was snapped along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, whilst the 'Home for the Holidays' version was photographed at Highland and Franklin Avenues on December 5, 2011.

Usher Belvedere Vodka Believe in Giving billboards...

This festive season Usher is doing his bit for charity alongside Belvedere Vodka by supporting the (Product) Red initiative, which helps raise awareness and funds to fight AIDS in Africa.

So it's the same great vodka, but in a special edition bottle with added 'Usher' for extra smoothness and stand-out.

The super-sized 'Believe in Giving' billboard was snapped along L.A.'s Sunset Strip on November 2, followed by this smaller, squarer format photographed above Beverly Boulevard on November 16.

Meanwhile this landscape billboard was spied from Manhattan's High Line Park in New York on November 5, 2011.

WORLD AIDS DAY: AIDS Healthcare Foundation billboards...

In honour of World AIDS Day and in recognition of 30 years of AIDS, Daily Billboard has a special collection of billboards today.

The L.A. based AIDS Healthcare Foundation is a global organization that provides medical care and advocacy to over 100,000 people in 22 countries around the world. In addition to treatment for thousands of people living with HIV and AIDS, this crucial charity continues to raise awareness and ensure prevention in order to save more lives.

Here are just some of varying ad creatives AHF use around the streets of L.A. to help educate the public and draw attention to the important issues. Let's kick off with these retro pop art style 'New love?' billboards, snapped along Sunset Boulevard and Hillhurst Avenue on November 9 and December 1, 2011 respectively.

The billboards encourage sexually active people to go get a free HIV test in a humorous way. This 'Last Test?' creative was snapped along Highland Avenue on August 21, 2011.

This clever 'four cents' billboard captured along Sunset Boulevard on April 30, 2011, shows that the vast majority of funds donated, 96 cents in every dollar, goes towards patient care.

This eye-catching 'Hate to wait?' billboard with its special extension pixelated egg-timer, stands out with its simple message and was photographed along Fairfax Avenue on February 20, 2010.

Next this targeted billboard in the heart of West Hollywood asks 'where have all the condoms gone?' and encourages safe, protected sex to help prevent transmission. This colourful creative was snapped along Santa Monica Boulevard on July 4, 2009.

DUO DAY: Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Healthcare tribute billboard...

Even though the Hollywood screen legend sadly passed away on March 23, 2011, Elizabeth Taylor still continues to be a wonderful ambassador for the amazing work the AIDS Healthcare Foundation does.

So quite appropriately with the Hollywood Hills in the background, here are some of the billboards currently to be found around L.A. as a tribute to the Oscar-winning actress and groundbreaking AIDS activist.

Even after her death the Hollywood icon is still able to raise awareness for a cause dear to her heart, due to the death of her friend and co-star Rock Hudson, as she's honoured by the charity that she helped champion for many years when others didn't.

Daily Billboard also couldn't help but share this other AIDS Healthcare billboard, featuring another enigmatic lady in a clever take on the infamous Mona Lisa painting.

This arresting visual certainly gets your attention and was snapped along La Brea Avenue on March 28, 2011.

Taraji P Henson I'd rather go naked PETA billboard...

Fur? I'd rather go naked.

At least that's what Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson says as she strips off for PETA and their latest anti-fur ad campaign. The toned naked film star joins a growing list of celebrity supporters trying to help prevent unnecessary animal cruelty.
