TV WEEK: Southland season three billboards...
Cancelled after the first season by NBC and resurrected on TNT for a second and now third season, gritty L.A. based cop show Southland returns with these fantastic billboards.
The illuminated nighttime cityscape, with helicopter flying overhead, in the first billboard is the perfect visual to evoke Los Angeles straight away, and the misty blue marine layer and street lights are a great colour choice and make for a striking ad.
The second billboard really embraces the tagline 'You never know what's around the corner', whilst also showing off the shows stars to great effect.
Both creatives for Southland season three were snapped along Sunset Boulevard on December 28, 2010.
UPDATED: A New Year and a new season billboard for Southland graces TNT's regular location along Sunset Boulevard.
This season four Southland billboard, which sports a different colour scheme from the third season ad and a positive Entertainment Weekly review, was snapped on December 31, 2011.
