Always ready to court controversy, it's only natural that Ricky Gervais would cast himself as God in this homage to Michelangelo's classic work of art from the ceiling of the Vatican City's Sistine Chapel.

This fun, tongue-in-cheek billboard for the third season of his animated HBO series, The Ricky Gervais Show, was snapped along Sunset Boulevard at North Orange Grove Avenue on April 2, 2012.

Animated masterpiece, indeed.
